TID steam tug 42″ – PN Thomas drawing enlarged

Hi All,

As mention on an earlier thread, I’m going to build a TID tug for my recently acquired  steam plant I have had the PN Thomas General arrangement enlarged as I want some space for it to breath etc so at 120% looks about right, lets see how far I get before the sword descends on our forum !!

Knot to big, not to small, just the right size !!!

I will watch the built.

I just go back to another restoration !!!

Will be a nice model with the steam plant. I take it the hull will be plank on frame?

Sea Rover another favourite of mine I have the drawing so maybe a future build If I can fit it in 🙂

Hi Chris,

Having taken David Marks advice I’m planning on using cheaper ply from Wikes for the bulkheads and 1/16th ply skins it’s all flat surfaces with a flat bottom, I’m just drafting the bulkheads and making templates which is the laborious task then I will crack on with the build 🙂
