Dear All

Has anyone ever used Graupner JET unit 5 and are they any good.

My not a project would need two fast, reliable motors and water jets would be ideal but I don't want to splash the cash without knowing more about them.

I had to sit down and breathe slowly when I discovered that they cost £167 each and that they require a 700 watt motor. In fact I think that your "not a project" should have a trailing power lead suitable for plugging in to the mains supply ! What sort of battery are you contemplating ?

I would invest in these new fangled LiPo things and probably a pair of brushless to push them along, but before that I would like to know if they are any good.

Hi Paul Well I have a pair of imported jet units but they are only any good for the thingys that come out of the back of The X Craft ,you know the Famous Sea Fighter .Not up to your request

Seriously PAUL WHAT DO YOU INTEND TO USE MOTORS WITH THAT POWER FOR

More to the point what waters do you expect to use them on .

I know your near the Irish sea but will you go that far to get a boat photos on Dave Wooleys tread Michael

One of our members has converted his .61 glow powered boat onto out runner and lipos, goes like stink but needs bigger water to get up to speed

The water jets are for the Banshee

which is not a project so all discussions are hypothetical
